BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With lots of new faces, the Birmingham-Southern women's cross country team is looking to be heard at the SAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Louisville.
In the 2022 season in Hoover, the Panthers finished in seventh place at the conference meet. Now sophomore
Gabe Earhart led the team with a time of 27:30.80 and earned a top 50 individual finish. This season, Earhart will be the only runner with SAA experience going into this weekend.

2023 Regular Season Highlights
'Southern opened the regular season in Rome at the Berry College Cross Country Open. Three runners finished inside the top 25 with freshman
Victoria Woods leading the way with a time of 28:51.66. The team then traveled to Montevallo for the Falcon Classic. This time, freshman
Catherine Chua had a big meet and lead the Panthers with a time of 22:19.35. Montgomery for the Huntingdon Invitational was the next stop for 'Southern where they continued to impress with
Gabe Earhart finishing 10th with a time of 28:00.05, and
Catherine Chua finishing 11th with a time of 28:00.09.
In the the regular season finale, the team traveled to Clinton, Miss. for the Watson XC Collegiate Classic. Each runner has their personal best times in the race.
Catherine Chua led the team with a time of 26:40.20.
Gabe Earhart was close behind with a 26:43.10.
Victoria Langevin and
Ada Weems made their collegiate cross country debuts after making their way over from the women's lacrosse team and impressed with 31:58.10 and 32:18.80 respectively.
Making Their Mark
With lots of fresh faces, the Panthers are hoping to make their names known at the SAA Championship. Coming off of four personal best times in the last meet, the Panthers will be looking to move up from last season.
