Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

MEN'S SOCCER EARNS ONE POINT ON SAA WEEKEND

BIRMINGHAM, AL. The Panthers men's soccer team competed in two SAA matchups in Georgia last weekend. 

Game 1 vs Oglethorpe
Oglethorpe started very quick with a goal in the first minute of the game by Adrian Levy. 

The Petrels would out shoot the Panthers 11-1 in the first half scoring two goals. Taking a 2-0 lead into halftime, Oglethorpe would not stop the scoring there. They would score just eight minutes into the second half. The 4th and final goal would come just four minutes after. 

Jayden Schell finished the game with three saves and Patrick Kelly would add two shot attempts. 

Diego Chacon got his first minutes of the season as a substitute for Jayden Schell

Final score 4-0 Oglethorpe.

Game 2 vs Berry
The second game of the SAA weekend was against Berry College who came in off of a 5-2 win over Millsaps.

The scoring started off early again with two goals in the first 14 minutes. Berry Scored first with BSC adding a goal just five minutes after. The goal came from Patrick Kelly assisted by Alessando Junior. The score going into halftime was 1-1.

Straight out of the second half Cesar Hurtado scored in the lower right corner, after a good bit of skill from Vittorio Vopicelli (assist).

Berry would equalize late with a penalty kick in the 88th minute. 

Diego Chacon finished the game with seven saves in goal.

Final score 2-2.
