BIRMINGHAM, AL. The Panthers women's soccer team competed in two SAA matchups in Georgia last weekend.
Game 1 vs Oglethorpe
The Panthers out shot Oglethorpe 12-5 on the match with 10 shots on goal.
BSC forced the Oglethorpe goalkeeper into four saves in the first half and six saves in the second half. After a scoreless first half,
Sophie Smith added one goal that came in the 89th minute as well as four shots on goal.
Halle Morton added the assist.
The final score ended with a 1-1 tie after a late own goal by BSC.

Game 2 vs Berry
Game two of the weekend was against another good SAA team.
Berry started with seven shots in the first 23 minutes. After settling in, BSC would go on to create a few quality chances, but none would end up in the back of the net.
Ali Schroeder added two shots one on goal.
Grace Elsevier earned the shutout with 90 minutes in goal.
The game would end in a 0-0 tie and the Panthers would secure two points on the weekend.
Grace Elsevier earned SAA Defensive Player on the week honors with 8 saves, 2 ties, and 1 shutout.
