ATLANTA, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team lost its final game of the season against the #4 seeded Hendrix Warriors.
The first set went back and forth until four points in a row by Hendrix server Adilynn Henry. Everyone contributed in the first set, as seven BSC players recorded kills. The second set started off with Hendrix taking a 6-1 lead. The Panthers got within two points, because of four kills by
Kylie Wilhelmi. five points in a row would give Hendrix a 21-13 lead and eventually give the Warriors a 2 set lead. If Birmingham-Southern wanted to keep their season alive they must win the third set to do so. The 3rd set was very close throughout, because of three ties and two lead changes. Hendrix went on a 5-0 run to lead 16-15, before BSC won the final 10 points of the set. The final set was dominated by Hendrix as they hit a 0.372 hitting % with only 3 errors. They would lead almost the entire set and win the final four points of the match. The final point was a kill from Grace House.
Kylie Wilhelmi (17),
Gracie Sims (14), and
Emily Buhl (10) all finished with double digit kills. Ainsley Shultz finished with 45 assist with Smarian Kipple adding 19 digs.
