Birmingham, AL - The Panthers women's basketball team traveled to in-state Division II opponent Montevallo.
1st half:
The Junior
Montana Harris starting off the scoring with a layup off of a offensive rebound. Montevallo would use a 7-0 run to put the score at 9-2. Montevallo used six upperclassmen during the game, showing that they have a lot of experience on the floor. Panthers went on a scoring drought the last five minutes and 32 seconds of the quarter. The quarter ended at 23-6. The falcons turned the ball over twice to start the half allowing BSC to get within 11. BSC outscored the Falcons 13-10 in the second quarter and brought the lead down to 14.
2nd half:
Savannah cook added six points in the 3rd to give Montevallo its biggest lead of the game at 27. The Panthers went of another 6 minute scoring drought to allow Montevallo to broaden that lead. The lead stayed in the 20's for the remainder of the game. Kyler woods added five points off the bench in only 11 minutes. Montevallo finished with three players over 10 points, and Ramie Reid added a double double with 10 rebounds and 10 points.
Leading the team in scoring,
Maya Cable finished the afternoon with 16 points.
Montana Harris added eight points with eight rebounds.
