BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team won their third game in their last four outings after a tough 6-3 victory over Central Alabama.
Birmingham-Southern picked up two of the first three possible points of the match. Phoebe Shapart and
Isabella Lambert won 8-5 in the No. 1 position. On court two CACC would garner a point winning 8-5. The Panthers would come back and gain the 2-1 edge after
Anna Cate Weeks and
Anna Beth Giles won on court three 8-2.
In singles play after losing a point due to retirement on court one the Panthers would win the four of the next five possible points. Birmingham-Southern would get the win on court two, before Central Alabama got a win on court three. The Panthers proved to be too much for the Trojans as they would win the next three points and win the match 6-3.
