ROME, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team saw their season come to a close after falling 78-63 to conference foe Berry in the SAA tournament semifinal round.
A close game to begin turned in favor of the Vikings as they strung together a couple scoring runs. The Panther went down by double-digits and could never get their offense going the way they wanted. BSC cut the lead to single digits a couple of times but could not muster any runs to get back in the game.
The Panthers were led by guard,
Cam Glover who scored a team-high 15 points in the loss. Glover grabbed two boards and recorded two assists as well.
Josh Childers recorded his third double-double of the season scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 boards.
Martise Jackson scored in double-figures for the fourth time in his last five games putting up 12 points against the Vikings.
Chase Ellis of Berry led all scorers with 24-points. He added five rebounds and two steals to his stat line in the win. Blake Campbell was the only other Viking to score in double-figures as he recorded 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor. Campbell also grabbed four boards and recorded three assists.
