ORLANDO, Fla. - After being defeated by #25 Denison on Sunday, the Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team got back to winning ways with a 6-1 win over St. Francis (Ind.)

Denison got off to a quick start in doubles with a sweep to earn all three points. Heading into the singles matches down 3-0, the Panthers had a small margin for error to turn things around.
The singles matches also went Denison's way as they saw victory in all six matches. Despite the loss, No. 1
Phoebe Shapard and No. 5
Anna Beth Giles forced tiebreaker sets against very strong opponents. Shapard played her tiebreaker in set one while Giles played hers in set two hoping to force a third set.

Anna Cate Weeks completed a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 win while No. 6 Ricki Stockl gained the sixth and final point for the Panthers with a win in the tiebreaker set 10-4.
