BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a day of rest, the Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team got back on track before the start of conference play with a 7-0 sweep of Doane University.
Hallet Green and
Callum Searle got the day started for BSC with a comfortable 6-2 win in the opening No. 3 doubles match. Shortly after, No. 2 duo
Ryan King and
Sam Tolbert won their match 6-3 to give BSC the doubles point on the day. Despite having clinched the doubles point, No. 1 pair
Tanner DeBardelaben/
Tom Smith were in a battle that went down to a tiebreaker. The duo ultimately came out on top in a photo finish, 7-6 to complete the sweep in doubles.

Ryan King cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win to give BSC a 2-0 lead. No. 2
Hallet Green and No. 4
Tanner DeBardelaben followed shortly after with wins to give 'Southern four points and solidify the win on the afternoon. However, the Panthers were not satisfied and won the three remaining matches courtesy of
Reed Martinson,
Sam Tolbert, and
Tom Smith in the No. 6, No. 1, and No. 5 positions respectively.
