JACKSON, Miss. - The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team won their second straight match and first conference match of the season on Saturday against Millsaps.
The Panthers fell in a very competitive No. 1 doubles match to start the day but did not let the loss slow them down. No. 2 duo
Tanner DeBardelaben and
Tom Smith in addition to No. 3 duo
Ryan King and
Callum Searle won their matches to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles matches.
The Panthers took their doubles momentum over to singles with a sweep of the Majors. No. 5
Tom Smith got the first singles point for BSC with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win. No. 2
Sam Tolbert also pitched a shut out in his first set with a 6-0 win. He finished off his match with a 6-3 win in set two. No. 1
Hallet Green also won his match 6-1, 6-3 to cap off an excellent day on the courts.
