SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team went on the road for their second conference match of the season and fell to nationally ranked Sewanee.

Sam Tolbert won the most games on their opponents of any Panther duo. The pair fell 8-3 as BSC headed into singles down three points.
Sewanee continued their excellent play in singles with a sweep, but the Panthers fought hard and were narrowly defeated. Against the ITA #1 ranked singles player,
Hallet Green led 4-0 in set one but ultimately could not hold off Jordan Theron. Green ended up going to a tiebreaker but lost eight points to six in the nail-biting first set. He then fell 6-2 in the second. #2
Sam Tolbert was the lone Panther who won a set in singles. He fell to his opponent 6-3 in set one but battled back with an emphatic 6-4 win in set two before being defeated in the tiebreaker 10-5.
