BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team defeated Oglethorpe 7-1 on Friday but fell to Berry on Saturday to wrap up the 2024 SAA regular season.

Anna Beth Giles then won her match 6-2, 6-0 in a shutout second set to give the Panthers their sixth point on the afternoon. No. 2
Phoebe Shapard the capped off the day for BSC with a 6-2, 6-4 win to give the Panthers an impressive seven points on the cloudy day.

Blakely Valdez had the closest match but ultimately fell eight points to five in an attempt to prevent the sweep.
The Panthers were defeated in four out of six singles matches with No. 6
Anna Beth Giles and No. 1
Blakely Valdez getting the two wins for BSC. Giles won the tiebreaker in set one 7-5 before dominating in set two 6-1. Valdez played in the most exciting match of the day with two clutch tiebreaker wins. She won set one 7-5 before falling in set two 6-1 to set up a third set. She then battled and defeated her opponent 10-7 to grab BSC's second point.
