PRIOR TO BSC: Competed in baseball and track and field for two years at Samford University (Birmingham, Ala.)… pitcher in baseball… member of Samford’s first SoCon regular season championship team… threw shot put and javelin in track and field… earned dean’s list every semester at Samford… three-year letterwinner in baseball at American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)… salutatorian of high school… president of Math Honor Society… SGA president… competed with East Coast Sox under coach Eric Dubose.
