Lara Casey Reid joined the Birmingham-Southern Athletic Training staff in August of 2019 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Reid primary coverage responsibilities are women’s soccer, swim and dive, and baseball. She is a nationally certified athletic trainer by the NATABOC and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.

Originally from Jackson, Ala., Reid is a 2019 graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training.  While there, she worked with swimming and diving, women’s volleyball, and women’s soccer. She also spent a semester with a local orthopedic surgeon, shadowing him in clinic and the operating room.

Reid completed an internship with Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham shadowing Dr. Benton Emblom in the summer of 2018. She also assisted with the Tuscaloosa Half Marathon and the USA Triathlon: Collegiate Club National Championships.

She currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with her husband.
