Bryant Nelson was named the Panthers’ running backs coach in May of 2021.

Nelson is a 2021 graduate of Birmingham-Southern with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He spent the last two season as a student assistant on the offensive side of the ball. He played a tremendous role within the Panthers’ offensive success. During the 2019 season, Nelson assisted with the offensive line. In 2020, he oversaw the tight ends while playing a major role in coaching the special teams.

An Albertville, Ala. native, he graduated from Albertville High School.
