    Mental Toughness Coach
Lieutenant Colonel Bruce Bright, USMC (Ret.) joined the Men's Basketball staff during the 2018-2019 season as a mental toughness coach. As the mental toughness coach, Coach Bright works with the student-athletes on shifting their energy level, engaging in their lives and leading with passion. Excitement, energy, emotional intelligence, and execution (E4Life) are four areas that Coach Bright helps the team grow.

In addition to BSC Basketball, Coach Bright is the Chief Energy Officer of On Target Leading, a peak performance leadership coaching firm for business executives and their companies. 
Prior to founding On Target Leading and joining the Men's Basketball staff, Coach Bright spent 28 years in service with the U.S. Marine Corps. His service includes four years as a Marine Infantryman and 24 years as a Marine F/A-18 Fighter Pilot. He served as Commanding Officer for VMFA-212 in Iwakuni, Japan and also logged over 3,000 flight hours, 371 carrier landings, and two combat tours in the Middle East. Coach Bright's son, Bruce Bright Jr., played for the Panthers for four years during the 2017/18-20/21 seasons.
