JACKSON, Miss. –  Birmingham-Southern men's tennis dropped a hard fought Southern Athletic Association match to host Millsaps College, 5-4, Sunday at the Millsaps Tennis Complex.

Millsaps won two doubles matches and then won at top three singles positions to take the win and improve to 2-1 and 1-0 in the SAA. BSC fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Ben Reardon and Patrick Hire defeated Solomonoff and Thomas Mills, 8-3, at No.3 doubles.  Tonia DaMaia defeated Solomonoff, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles and Lance Mengel beat Misa Pjevac, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4. Reardon captured the final BSC point at No. 6 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Mills.

BSC returns to the courts to host Campbellsville on Wed., March 6 at 3 p.m.
