Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team picked up a win on the road Tuesday to open the season, defeating Huntingdon 2-1 in Montgomery, Ala.
TWO FIRST-HALF GOALS
- The Panthers scored both of their goals in the first half.
- Senior Scott Funston was the first to score, finding the net in the ninth minute.
- The Hawks tied things up two minutes later, and the teams played with a 1-1 tie until the 40th minute, when junior Dallas Coyne scored what would be the game-winner for BSC.

- BSC leads the series 4-0-1; the teams tied 1-1 in 2014.
