Panthers Held Off By Belhaven in Fourth Quarter

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –  The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team nearly erased a 15-point third quarter deficit at Belhaven University Wednesday Night.  The Panthers fell 68-62 for their first loss since November 28.

 

Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) earned a team-high 17 points and game-high nine rebounds.  Jothani Dixon (Tuscumbia, Ala./Deshler HS) and Camillia Carter (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown HS) rounded out the Panthers in double-figures. They finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

 

This was the Panthers last game of 2016. They continue play in 2017 on the road at Millsaps College to open Southern Athletic Association play. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. in a doubleheader with the men on Monday, Jan. 2.
