Box Score ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer suffered a 3-0 loss at Oglethorpe on Sunday, falling to 6-5-2, 2-2-1 on the season.
The Stormy Petrels scored two goals in the first half with the first coming in the third minute. Oglethorpe tacked on another goal in the 27th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Petrels scored their third and final goal in the 77th minute to cap the scoring.
BSC could not find many opportunities on offense, taking just two shots in the match. Both shots were on target, but Oglethorpe keeper Luke Whelan was able to clear them from the goal.
Junior goalkeeper Galen Curry (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) recorded 10 saves to tie a season high.
The Panthers return home on Wednesday, Oct. 18 for a Senior Day match against the Centre Colonels.
