BSC Falls at Home to Centre 1-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team fell to the Centre Colonels 1-0 at Goldfarb Field on Wednesday. The loss dropped the Panthers to 6-6-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the Southern Athletic Association.

It was a single first-half goal for Centre that eventually defeated the Panthers. The Colonels' Jesse DiLuzio headed a throw in from Carson Hart into the net to give Centre the early 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. Centre held off BSC scoreless for the remaining 75 minutes of regulation to hand the Panthers the 1-0 loss.

Centre outshout BSC 12 to 11 in the match. Birmingham-Southern finished with two shots on target.

Junior goalkeeper Galen Curry (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) recorded four saves in the game.

Birmingham-Southern will travel to Millsaps on Saturday, Oct. 21 for its final regular season match. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
