ATLANTA, Ga. – Emory & Henry College used a quick lead to defeat the Birmingham-Southern College women's basketball team 67-45 in day one of the Oglethorpe Tournament.  BSC (3-5) had two finish in double figures.

Reigning conference player of the week Elizabeth Philpot (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) earned a team-high 10 points along with fellow sophomore post Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS)  who grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

The Panthers close the tournament against Centenary College of Louisiana tomorrow.  Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
