Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team opened its 2017 season with a dominant 23-9 home win over Piedmont College Friday night in Krulak Stadium. Five Panthers finished with hat tricks, led by Tanner Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) who earned a game and career-high four goals on four shots.
McHale Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS), David Arnold (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Northridge HS), William Seward (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain HS), and Braden McCombs (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) netted three goals each. McHale Schneider also finished with a game-high five assists.
Nelson Salem (Leeds, Ala./Briarwood Christian School) picked up a game-high six ground balls and went 5-for-5 in face-offs.
The Panthers hit the road next to take on Washington College. They faceoff on Saturday, Feb. 18 at noon ET at a neutral site.
