NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team could not upset top seeded Sewanee Saturday, and fell 5-0 in the Southern Athletic Association tournament semifinals.

Alex Makarenko (Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge HS) battled at the #2 singles position.  He sent the second set into a tiebreak before falling 6-3, 7-6 (10-3).

The Panthers finished the season 9-7 overall.
