Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team could not recover from a slow start Thursday and fell 65-49 to Calvin in their first game Quality Suites Holiday Classic.
Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) finished with a team-high 16 points. Kaitlin Hogan (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) also finished in double figures with 10 points of her own, respectively. And Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
The Panthers continue play at the Classic tomorrow. They face No. 5 Hope on Friday at 1 p.m. ET.
