BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team rebounded from a slow doubles start to take its Southern Athletic Association quarterfinal match against Berry College 5-2.  BSC (11-8) won four singles to secure the victory.

Charley Rowe (Gadsden, Ala./Westbrook Christian School) was the only Panther to pick up two wins on the day.  He and partner Jamie Bekaert (Johns Creek, Ga./Rivers Academy) took No. 3 doubles 8-5, before Rowe won at No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-1.

BSC will face No. 2 seed Millsaps College in the semifinals.  The Panthers dropped their match to Millsaps earlier this season 5-2, and hold an 0-1 record against the Majors all-time in the tournament.  Their last meeting was in 2015 when BSC fell 5-4 in the semifinals.

Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
