BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team held off Berry College for the 5-4 win Sunday morning to improve to 8-8 overall and 2-3 against Southern Athletic Association teams. The Panthers used two doubles and three singles wins to earn the win.
Jacob Weinacker (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) finished the day with two wins. He opened at No. 1 doubles with an 8-3 win with partner Anthony Pellegrini (Huntsville, Ala./Huntsville HS). The pair are ranked ninth regionally and are 13-2 this spring. Weinacker went on to take his No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-4.
BSC remains at home to take on Berry College tomorrow. Match time is set for 9 a.m.
