ROME, Ga.  – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball fell to Berry College Friday night on the road.  The Panthers 65-54 loss moved them to 12-5 overall, and 4-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.

Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) and Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius XH) led the team offensively.  Black finished with team-highs of 12 points and eight rebounds.  Middleton earned 10 points shooting 50 percent from the floor.   

BSC takes on No. 16 Oglethorpe University this Sunday.  Tip off is set for noon CT.
