BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern track and field competed well at the Emory Crossplex Showdown Sunday.

Jaida Bolden (Dacula, Ga./Archer HS) put her name in records book.  She went 4.83m to break the programs long jump record and place 11th overall.  The distance is nearly a meter further than anyone else has jumped this year.  Kamryn Bendolph (Madison, Ala./Columbia HS) set a new personal record in the 400m dash. She crossed in 1:01.05, the fastest of any Panther this season to date to place fifth overall and second among NCAA Division III runners.

On the men's side, Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 13.72m, just .06m off his season best.  He and William Wideman (Marietta, Ga./Pope HS), Reece Weaver (Fort Payne, Ala./Fort Payne HS), and Glen Humphrey (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain HS) also did well in the 4x400m relay.  The group finished second in a time of 3:27.04, the fastest time this season and third fastest in program history.

BSC now prepares for the UAB Indoor meet at the Birmingham CrossPlex and the JDL College Invitational in Winston Salem, N.C.
