BSC Suffers First Home Loss

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball dropped its first home game of the season Sunday against No. 11 Oglethorpe University.  The Panthers moved to 13-7 overall, 5-4 in Southern Athletic Association play, with the 84-43 loss. 

Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) led the Panthers. She earned team-highs of 16 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) finished with a game-high three blocks.

The Panthers hit the road next.  They take on Centre College Friday, Jan. 31.  Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
