Box Score DEMOREST, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team fell on the road at Piedmont 15-11 on Thursday night, dropping to 2-2 on the season.
Birmingham-Southern trailed for the entire game against the Lions. Down 14-7 after three quarters, the Panthers scored four of the last five goals of the game, but the comeback attempt fell short in the end.
Sophomore attack Carter McAlpin (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) led the Panthers offensively with a team-high four goals and two assists. Freshman Robert Marquet (Birmingham, Ala./Chelsea HS) and senior Taylor Carson (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) added two goals each.
Defensively, Marquet led with three caused turnovers. Sophomore goalie Jordan Johnson (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll HS) finished with seven saves.
Birmingham-Southern will continue its road trip at Pfeiffer on Saturday, Feb. 22 at noon ET.
