SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Birmingham-Southern Track and Field performed well at the 2020 Steemer Showcase Saturday.

"We competed well all-around and experienced a number of PR's," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.

Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) won the triple jump with a mark of 14.31m.  Maurice Sutherland (Meridian, Miss./Northeast HS) tied for second at 13.65m.  On the women's side, Monasia Taylor (Lawrenceville, Ga./Archer HS) placed third in the 60m dash.  She crossed in a personal record 8.02 seconds.

The Panthers have one more meet before the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.  Jones currently has the 10th best triple jump mark in the country and a chance to compete at the national championships.
