Panthers Rout Hendrix 72-49

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball improved to 14-9 overall after defeating Hendrix College 72-49 Friday night in Bill Battle Coliseum.  BSC is now 6-6 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with just two games remaining in the regular season.

Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) netted a double-double on the night.  She finished with game-highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius XH) and Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) also earned double-figures, with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

BSC remains at home next. They close out the regular season Sunday against Rhodes College.  It will be National Girls and Women in Sports Day and the Panthers will have a meet and greet with fans postgame.  Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
