BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern men's swimming and diving swept both Berry College and Millsaps College Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex. BSC topped the Vikings 170-72 and took down Millsaps 192-37.
The Panthers won 12 of the 14 events in the meet.
Chase Bolding (Panama City Beach, Fla./Wyoming University) and
Hayden Henderson (Tupelo, Miss./Tupelo HS) collected four wins each to lead the team. The pair were on the winning 200 free and 400 medley relays. Bolding also took the 100 and 200 butterfly. Henderson won the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
Chris Rubin (Vestavia Hills, Ala. / Vestavia High school),
Joe Swing (Huntsville, Ala./Huntsville HS), and
Jackson Defore (Brentwood, Tenn./Jackson Venice HS) picked up two wins, respectively. And
Carson Maggio (Actworth, Ga./Harrison HS),
Charlie Fountain (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview HS),
Sam Arnold (Auburn, Ala./Homeschooled), and
Cameron Coffey (Owingsville, KY. / Montgomery county HS) finished with one win each.
The Panthers now prepare to defend their Southern Athletic Association title. Championships will be February 17-20 at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
