GREENSBORO, N.C. –
Justin Toth of the Birmingham-Southern men's diving team placed fourth in the one meter diving finals at the NCAA Diving Championships to reclaim his First Team All-American status.
The three prolific Panther divers,
Avery Balch,
Garrett George, and
Justin Toth competed in the one meter diving event on Friday. After prelims in the morning, Toth qualified for the finals in the evening while Balch and George earned a consolation finals spot.
In the finals,
Justin Toth finished with an excellent overall score of 504.40 to become one of four divers with a score over 500. His placement makes him a 2024 First Team All-American after he became a Second Team All-American in the three meter dive on Wednesday.
Avery Balch earned a score of 432.55 while
Garrett George scored a 386.40 to finish 13th and 16th respectively. Their placements earned them Second Team All-American status for 2024. Balch earned First Team in the three meter dive while George also earned Second Team in the same event on Wednesday.
The National Championship Meet wraps up a phenomenal season for the three BSC All-American divers.
