GLOVER AND PANTHERS FIND GROOVE AT HOME

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Cameron Glover and the Panthers have found their groove at home after starting the season with six straight games on the road. The Panthers won their second home game of the week, defeating in-state rival Huntingdon 104-86. The Panthers recorded a season in points with Glover leading the way with 20 points an individual season-high for him.

The Panthers started off scorching hot shooting the ball, and were able to force the Hawks into some tough, contested shots early on. At the under-12 media timeout the Panthers lead by 22 points, 31-9.The Hawks started to finally see their shots fall, but BSC did not cool off. They went shot-for-shot. Midway through the first half Huntingdon started to cut into the lead and got as close as 14 point. They were unable to cut it down any further. Birmingham-Southern, got out of their short funk and the offense brought the lead back up to 22 before halftime. BSC took a 54-32 lead into halftime.

The start of the second half saw a change in momentum quickly. The Hawks were the ones making shots this time and went on a 22-7 run to cut the Panther lead to just seven (61-54). After a media timeout the Panthers regrouped, and the offense started hitting shots again. BSC steadily pulled away and brought the lead back up to 19 with 10 minutes to play.

Every time Huntingdon would chip away at the lead, BSC had a response and the Hawks would never trail by single digits again. BSC won by a final score of 104-86.
