BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A late offensive surge, led by Christian Stewart helped the Panthers come away with their third straight victory. Stewart led all scores with 37 points on 14-20 shooting, as the Panthers defeated MUW 94-91.

The Owls came out making nine of their first 10 shots and taking a 21-9 lead early in the first half. The Panthers clawed their way back into the game, pulling within three point a couple times. Every time the Panthers would start to gain some momentum, MUW would not back down. As the first half began winding down, the Owls started making everything they put up and pulled away from the Panthers before halftime. BSC went into halftime trailing 51-42.

The Panthers opened up the second half with an 11-3 run and were able to tie the game at 54, coming out of the media timeout. Both teams would continue to trade buckets with neither team leading by more than 4 points from the 15:22 mark on. After being tied at 54, the Panthers and Owls were tied seven more times before the final buzzer sounded. BSC gained their first lead of the game at the 8:04 mark in the second half as a free throw by Jay Gillispie put them up 72-71.

In the final 8 minutes of the game Christian Stewart took over the game scoring 12 points and leading the Panthers to victory after hitting two free throws to go up one, 92-91. After a missed shot and a big rebound by Stewart who passed it out to Cameron Glover, and was fouled. Glover hit both free throws to give the Panthers a three-point lead.
