DEMOREST, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse put up three goals in the first seven minutes and never looked back in their 19-8 win over Piedmont College Saturday. BSC (1-1) outshot the Lions 30-5 in the first half.
Marissa Henderson (McDonough, Ga./Ola HS) led with a game-high seven goals off 11 shots on goal. She also had two assists to finish with a game-high nine points.
Kathleen Napier (Burlingame, Calif./Mercy HS) was one goal shy of a double hat trick. She earned five goals and two assists.
Sydney Riley (Collierville, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) picked up four goals to net her first hat trick of the season. And
Ciera Rowland (Memphis, Tenn./South Walton HS),
Kendal Vick (Madison, Ala./James Clemons HS), and
Natalie Santiago (Pensacola, Fla./Booker T. Washington HS) added with goals of their own.
The Panthers return home for their next game. They welcome University of Montevallo to the Hilltop of Saturday, Feb. 20 for a 1 p.m. start.
