BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern softball closes out its 2021 Classic with a 5-4 win over Belhaven University to bring their perfect record up to 12-0.
 
With a full team effort, the Panthers scored five runs with five different hitters. 
 
Five batters had two hits each. Sam Hilyer (Prattville, Ala./ Chattahoochee Valley CC) finished with a game high 2 RBI.
 
Hailee Bryan (Lauren Hill, Fla./Paxton HS) earned the win pitching 6.1 innings with a game high seven strike outs. Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./ Eufaula HS) picked up her first save of the season by grounding out the side in the seventh.
 
The Panthers will be on the road Wednesday, February 24, to face Belhaven for a doubleheader. First game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
