JACKSON, Miss. – No. 18 Birmingham-Southern softball lost its first games of the season 8-0 and 3-2 Wednesday afternoon to Belhaven University. BSC is now 12-2 overall.
Madison Plunkett (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) led the team at the plate. She had three hits, including a double, and hit .429.
Cassidy Dickson (Piedmont, S.C./Brashier Middle College Charter HS) earned two hits and a run on the day.
Hailee Bryan (Lauren Hill, Fla./Paxton HS) and
Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) received the losses.
The Panthers hit the road next. They travel to Danville, Ky. to open Southern Athletic Association play against Centre College on March 6-7.
