MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse dropped its Southern Athletic Association opener on the road Sunday 17-6 to Rhodes College. The Lynx outscored BSC 8-1 in the second quarter to secure the lead and win.
Bowen Harris (Johns Creek, Ga./Mount Pisgah HS) and
Caden Buckner (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) led the Panthers offensively, finishing with two points each. Buckner scored both of BSC's first quarter goals unassisted. Harris scored a goal of his own and assisted another.
Luke Fajack (Chapel Hill, N.C./Bridgewater College) finished with a game-high 16 saves, but received the loss.
BSC (4-3, 0-1 SAA) continues its conference road stand. The Panthers head to Sewanee on Friday, March 26.
