SEWANEE, Tenn. – Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse went up early in the fourth quarter and held on for the 13-11 win at The University of the South Friday afternoon. BSC improved to 5-3 on the year and 1-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
Cameron Herd (Peachtree City, Ga./Starr's Mill HS) led the team offensively. He finished with five points after scoring four goals and assisting another.
Robert Marquet (Birmingham, Ala./Chelsea HS) and
Reid Harrison (Fayetteville, Ga./Starr's Mill HS) earned four points each, respectively. Marquet picked up a hat trick of his own and assisted Herd's last goal. Harrison assisted three goals and scored himself in the third quarter.
Luke Fajack (Chapel Hill, N.C./Bridgewater College) earned the win after grabbing a game-high 17 saves in 60 minutes of work.
BSC remains on the road. The Panthers take on Centre College Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
