BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team opened its home season with a 13-7 win over Piedmont College Friday night in Krulak Stadium. The Panthers out shot Piedmont and picked up more ground balls as they netted seven different goal scorers.
Cameron Heard (Peachtree City, Ga./Starr's Mill HS) finished with a game-high seven points after scoring four goals and assisting three others.
Austin Johnson (Johns Creek, Ga./Chattahoochee HS),
Robert Marquet (Birmingham, Ala./Chelsea HS), and
Caden Buckner (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) earned two goals each. And
Reid Harrison (Fayetteville, Ga./Starr's Mill HS),
Bowen Harris (Johns Creek, Ga./Mount Pisgah HS), and
Micah Finotti (Greenville, S.C./Christ Church Episcopal School) picked up one goal each, respectively.
Luke Fajack (Chapel Hill, N.C./Bridgewater College) spent a full 60 in goal and finished with 14 saves.
BSC (3-1) remains at home next. They face Huntingdon College Tuesday night in Krulak Stadium. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
