BRASELTON, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern men's golf team finished the 2021 Southern Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship in third place on Sunday. As a team the Panthers shot a combined 313 21-over par in the final round. The Panthers finished the championship 25 strokes behind Sewanee.
BSC shot a three-day total score of 917, 41-over par.
Junior
Sammy Brucker (Franklin, Tenn. / Furman) led BSC in Sunday's final round, shooting a 77 to finish the round 4-over par. Brucker finished the championship in the top ten tied for 6th place with a three day combined score of 224 5-over par.
Sophomore
Connor Hawkins (Franklin, Tenn. / Franklin HS) joined Brucker in the top ten after shooting a 75, 2-over par on Sunday. Hawkins finished the championship with a three day combined score of 224, 5-over par also tied for sixth place.
Junior
Slade Dawson (Bessemer, Ala. / Helena HS) finished the final round shooting an 80, 7-over par. Dawson shot a three day combined score of 234 15-over par to finish the championship in nineteenth place.
Junior
Brock Baker (Helena, Ala. / Helena HS) and Sophomore
Price Bryan (Jackson, Miss. / Saint Andrews Episcopal) also finished the championship inside the top 30. Bryan finished the championship tied for twenty fourth place after shooting a final round 84, 11-over par. Bryan shot a three day combined score of 241 22-over par. Baker shot a final round 81, 8-over par to finish the championship to tie for twenty sixth place with a three-day combined score of 242, 23-over par.
