MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern men's golf team continued their 2024 season on Monday and Tuesday at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate.
Jake Ledbetter led the way with a top 20 finish while
Jackson Sharp had a career-best tournament.
Day one for the Panthers was highlighted by two rounds in the mid 70s.
Jake Ledbetter continued his excellent stretch of golf after a career-best tournament in Savannah last time out. He led the way with a 74 (+2) in round one to place him tied for 21st.
Jackson Sharp finished just behind his teammate with a career-low round of 75 (+3) which placed him tied for 24th.
Jake Ovitt and
Anderson McCary rounded off Monday for 'Southern with scores of 85 and 96 respectively.
In the second and final round,
Jake Ledbetter was impressive once again. He placed highest on the team with a 75 (+3) and moved into top 20 overall at T18.
Jackson Sharp finished the tournament tied for 35th after shooting in the 70s again with a 78 (+6).
Jake Ovitt had a five-stroke improvement in the final round with an 80 to finish strong.

The Panthers will compete in the final regular season tournament of the season on Monday, April 15 in Cordova, Tenn. for the Cochran Collegiate.
