PANTHERS OUTPACED BY THE COLONELS
 
DANVILLE, Ky. – A tidal wave of shots from the opposition sees the Birmingham-Southern women's score team falling to Centre on the road.
 
From the kickoff, it was clear that this would be a difficult matchup for the Panthers. The Colonels came out with the only intention of sending a barrage of shots at the Panthers goal. Despite their best efforts to prevent any scoring, the Colonels would sink an early goal.
 
This goal would open up a window to grow their lead even further, and the Colonels certainly capitalized scoring two more quick goals. The Panthers would fight back and work the ball through their offense to get within scoring range, but another opposing goal would nearly put the match out of reach going into halftime.
 
The second half started off looking like it would be a continuation of the first with Centre scoring early on. However, this goal would serve to kickstart the Panthers scoring. Not long after that goal, Ali Schroeder would score an unassisted goal to cut into the commanding lead, and she would not stop there.
 
After a shot from the Colonels, the Panthers worked their way back up the field, and Schoeder sent a perfect assist to the feet of Abby Rose Branham who would score again and keep the Panthers hopes alive. 
 
A stunned Centre squad promptly sent in a mass substitution in order to counteract the burst of scoring from the Panthers. This proved to be successful as the Panthers would not score the remainder of the match, as well as the Colonels scoring again in the final minutes to seal the victory.
