BSC STARTS SEASON AT ANNUAL ICEBREAKER

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern track and field teamed hosted the first indoor meet of the season for many schools. With over 15 schools in attendance BSC competed and showed well in their opening event of the season. 

Jailah Loving qualified for the 60-meter dash running a qualifying time of 7.93. She then ran a 7.91 in the semi-finals but the time would not qualify her for the finals. In the 60-meter hurdles Jailah qualified with a time of 9.24. In the finals she finished 32nd. Loving also finished in the top 25 of the 200-meter dash.

In the 400-meter Kya Gardner finished inside the top 30 with a time of 1:03.50. BSC wrapped up the meet with a few top 30 finishes.

BSC will compete again after the new year at the UAB Blazer Invitational on Jan. 14.
