Demorest, Ga. - The Panthers continued their road week taking on the Lions of Piedmont University. After a successful turnout against Pfeiffer, the Panthers brought that momentum into todays with a final score of 14-9.
Cameron Herd a dominate performance scoring half of BSC's goals.
Piedmont started it all off scoring the first two goals in the first quarter. Southern answered back with two goals of their own, ending the first quarter with a score of 2-2. The Lions came into the second quarter looking to take the lead by scoring two more goals. The Panthers were on the same mission by scoring four goals in the second quarter. BSC led the game going into halftime with a score of 6-5. The Panthers came into the third quarter looking to build their lead.
Cameron Herd made sure that happened by scoring three goals.
Austin Johnson and
Robert Marquet added on the team's goals in the third quarter. Southern continued to increase their lead in the fourth quarter by scoring two more goals.
Cameron Herd had a dominate performance leading the Panthers in goals. Herb recorded seven goals total, five which were assisted.
Carter McAlpin was everywhere on the field picking up five groundballs, four assist, and two goals.
Luke Fajack was dominate on the inside picking up 13 saves and picking up the win for the game.
