WALESKA, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season to Reinhardt University as they fell to the Eagles, 25-9.
The first quarters of the game saw a lot of offense. Reinhardt took an early 5-1 lead in the first quarter, but the Panthers fought back to cut the deficit to 8-5 before the end of the first quarter. Headed into the second quarter the Panthers had some momentum on their side and looked to stay in the game.
The second quarter did not turn out how the Panthers had expected as they were outscored 10-2 in the period, with both goals being scored by
Marissa Henderson. The Panthers trailed 18-7 at halftime.
The Panthers were unable to over come the 11-point deficit and fell to Reinhardt 25-9, losing their first game of the season.
