BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team opened up Southern Athletic Association play as they hosted Rhodes today, (March 5). The Panthers fell in the contest 21-2.
The Lynx got out to an early lead and never looked back. Rhodes scored the first 12 goals of the game before BSC got on the board from a
Lizzie LaVangie goal in the second quarter. The Lynx got two more goals before halftime, and the Panthers headed to the locker room down 14-1.
The Panthers recorded the first goal out of halftime thanks to
Kathleen Napier, but they could not muster anymore offense in the second half. BSC fell 21-2 in their SAA opener.
